There is still training going on here. Last week was my first week back after taking two weeks off in India. I just thought a white women running through a village might have just caused too much of a spectacle, we were pretty much a spectacle everywhere we went anyway. It was not near as tough coming back to training as I thought. I ran a total of 16 miles last week with one of my runs being 5.5 miles and I really could have gone farther, but did not want to push it. This week I ran 3.5 miles on Monday, 3 miles on Tuesday, Wednesday I planned to run 5 miles, but half way into my run it started raining which in itself would not have stopped me, but the thunder and lightening freaked me out a little so I only ended up running 3 miles. Then today, Friday, I was able to get my 10 mile run in, this will be the longest run before the actual race. It was not too bad, so now I think that as I maintain for the next couple of weeks I will be ready on October 18th.

I am so glad you did it and didn't put off until next week. You should feel very proud of yourself. 10 miles is a big deal! Good job Judy!

I'm really proud of you. And a little envious I must admit. I'm running 4-5 just fine but haven't been able to go further so far. I just realized we have a guest in town to consult with us that weekend so I can't run in the race but I'm willing to train with you if you need a running buddy.
