Today I went with Anna to enroll for school. She said, "Mom, you better go because this is that last time you have to go with someone to enroll in an Olathe school." She is right, we have done this end of summer ritual for 19 years now and I can see another chapter in my life closing. Our youngest child will be a senior, so where has all the time gone? People have always told me that raising your children goes so fast and enjoy it while it lasts. But in the throws of parenthood, you just think, yeah right. But I am now here in the end of the everyday parenthood chapter of life and I can truly say it has gone waaaaaaay too fast. I will cherish this last year of high school and try to believe the people that tell me that being an empty nester is wonderful, yeah right.
