We have survived the night boat. It was an adventure of its own. There were some times when the boat was very rocky. But my trusting patch pulled me through. I did sleep pretty well until I woke up to a cock roach sharing by bunk. Yes, I did freak out a bit but tried to keep my freaking to a minimum as people were sleeping. Needless to say, I was done sleeping for the might.
We ate dinner on the boat which consisted of a bowl of Ramon noodles, rice, and some great crispy pork chops. Then it was off to our bunk beds for the rest of the ride. The whole deck of the boat has bunk beds and that is where you sit for the ride. We were very pleased to be in the air conditioned cabin. They have told us that will not be the case for the ride back. The ride started at 5:00pm and we arrive on Samar at 6:00am. We dropped our luggage at the hotel and then went to the pastors house for breakfast. We rode in what they call a tricycle to go to the pastors home. The above picture is of our boat, a picture of our hotel, a street scene, and our tricycle.
